*Sighs*

I sincerely don't like it when there is no time to do much of anything and lately that is how it has been. Roughly two weeks ago we finally sat down and had a chat with Pastor because we were struggling in knowing how to balance all the different areas of ministry that we are involved in along with our own personal lives (kinda hard to get pregnant when you have no time for making the baby). His response was to cut the Spanish classes. He wants us to be involved with how it feels to be part of starting a church, but he didn't mean that we had to learn the language. David and I realized that we weren't able to focus on it enough to really learn like we needed to. I think I was adapting at a good pace, but it was starting to be come challenging for David, but he also had less opportunities to study and do the home work assignments. Perhaps someday... I'm kidding myself. I guess the positive way to look at it is I know more Spanish now than I did 2 months ago. 

We have a Native American Conference tonight and tomorrow morning, Gabbie's 8th birthday party tomorrow afternoon and a youth hangout at our house tomorrow night. I also need to stop at Profile and pick up shakes and bars for David and I. We also need to do some cleaning at home some where in the mix of things. 

I have more that I want to blog about, but I will have to do it later. 

Oh my...

It has been an interesting last few days in my little piece of the world here. We have so many irons in the fire that it's hard to know which one at is the right temperature to take care of the over abundance of obligations that we have. 

There are times when I sincerely wish that there were a few more hours in the day or maybe even one more day in the week!  

Spanish class... Well is going okay I guess, but David is starting to struggle. I have figured out that I can read it a lot easier than I can to speak it. We have had very little actual conversations and I think that is part of the reason why I am struggling in this area. It doesn't help that we really don't have the time to seriously study or even study in snippets throughout the week. It is a little easier for me because I have an hour lunch, but I usually nap because I'm wiped out (not preggo yet) and know that if I don't get a snooze in here and there that I might become kind of crappy. 

We did have our first launch service this past Sunday. It was the first Spanish service for the SD district!  It was pretty nice being a part of SD history!  We had 4 spanish speaking guests, and with the other families that go to our church we had about 20 an we had a decent turn out of other church members for roughly a total of 80 people attendence! 

There is plenty more for me to write, but I will have to save it for later and I want to get this portion posted.

Whew...

I know I haven't posted in a few days, but last week was pretty insane. I had to work Saturday because it was the last day of the month and we had turns to do. We also had Kirk, Bethany, Levi, Ashley, & Julia spending a couple of days with us because of Life Light.

 In spite of my worries it was nice having a house full of people. Saturday after the carwash for the youth David brought home Evan and Katherine so they could change for our evening at Life Light I thought Evan was going to swoon at the sight of the piano in our living room. Evan is our music geek in the youth group. 

 

He was playing bits and pieces of everything. From the Addam's Family theme song to pieces of the Jewish anthem. Lol sometimes I wonder if these kids realize how much of our hearts they really have taken a piece of. Sometimes I think it's more like chunks! 

This seems odd...

I have tomorrow off.  I didn't realize until earlier today that I have to work this Saturday because it is the end of the month and when I have to work on the weekend I am suppose to have another day of during the week so Nikki (my newest boss) ask if I would like to have Tuesday off so I said yes.  I'm kind of looking forward to have a day of relaxing.  I plan on sleeping in.  If I didn't think I would sleep the entire day away I would sleep until I wake up (who knows maybe I will.  My body probably needs the sleep lol)

My inlaws are in town for my sister-in-laws foot surgery tomorrow and they brought with them the old family piano and one family curio cabinets from the farm.  I plan on getting them decorate tomorrow so I will try to post a picture.  I'm sure they will change over time, but it would be fun to have a photo to see what they started out as.  The funny thing is that David said he use to think that the piano was the ugliest thing he'd ever seen (this was when he was a kid) now he admits to it feeling like he has a part of his family history here now.  I have to admit that the thing is HUGE lol

I know this is a short entry, but I am getting pretty tired and really should try to get some sleep.  I may update again tomorrow when my head is a little clearer. :-)

I found a really handy app for my phone called DuoLingo that is a free app that I found a link for on Pinterest that a homeschool mom had posted.  I popped into the "Kids" category to see what was in there just out of curiosity and that is how I found it.  It's helping reinforce a lot of what we are learning in class and it's helping me realize that I'm actually learning more than I realized. 

We have a car wash for the youth today that starts at noon.  It is suppose to get pretty warm (people here will melt away, but this Oklahoma raised girl simply smirks at the drama that happens at the mere mention of 90 degree weather).  It's kind of rainy this am, but is suppose to clear up but the time we start.

We ripped up the living room carpet last night in our living room.  We have a solid hardwood floor underneath. My parents had a large white and tan rug that they gave us because it is too large for any of the rooms in their house here.  The floor itself needs to be refinished, but for the age of the floor it is in relatively good shape.  There are some stains on the floor, but with the large area rug down it covers up the worst of it.  While the floor isn't perfect after pulling the carpet up and smelling how nasty and seeing how icky it was I am glad that we removed it from our living room. 

I guess I really should go.  David just got home from work and we have some things that we need to get done in order to be ready for the carwash and some other errands.

I will leave a couple of photos behind today.... Well I was going to I guess I will have to try later, but computer is being stupid. lol

I kind of feel like a deer caught in the headlights of oncoming traffic.  I also feel like I don't know if I am coming or going.  There are so many things that I want to do that I don't see how anything can come of those things.

(I love how I can say a few words or make a statement that I don't expect much of a response to and my husband goes off on a preacher mini sermon.  Yes I am being a little sarcastic, lol.  I guess it is just comes with the job of being a preacher's wife in the training.)

I have some to the conclusion that right now I can read and sound out Spanish far easier than I can understand anything said.  I just told David that one phrase I am going to learn in Spanish is "Please Repeat Slowly" or something like that.  Fluent speakers rattle sentences off so quickly that I only pick up maybe a few words here and there.  I can't believe that next weeks starts week 7.

There are times that I really wish that I didn't have to try to balance all of this plus work 40 hours a week.  Tonight my brain feels it's being pulled in a thousand different directions. 

I really want to write more, but my brain is so jumbled up that I am having a hard time focusing on one thing for long.
